The Principal of NIBS College met the new students drawn from all the departments in Thika Road Campus. Lizzie gave her counsel to the new students cautioning them on the hazards they are exposed to as students for instance, unwanted pregnancies, peer pressure, truancy, drug and substance abuse. In her welcoming speech she assured the students of adequate support from her and the management throughout their academic journey.
Also in attendance was the Administration Manger, who advised the students to build a strong character amongst themselves. Mr. Njenga reiterated that NIBS is a household name when it comes to quality tertiary training and therefore challenged the students to assume the role of being brand ambassadors for the institute whenever they interact with the public. “It is very important that you portray the good image of the college out there as you would b meeting your prospective employer,” Njenga said.
The head of academics also encouraged the students to make use of the available learning infrastructure ranging from the available Wi-Fi connectivity, spacious libraries, restaurants for the hospitality students, media lab for the journalism students, workshops for the engineering students.
