NIBS Host renowned Media personalities

Yesterday we were privileged to host media personalities from main stream media houses. Francis Gachuri Franklin Macharia Gatete Njoroge spent time with the students sharing their personal and professional experiences as media personalities. What stood out during the entire session was that there are many opportunities for journalism students in the industry in both the production and news departments. Speaker after speaker encouraged the students on the need to be focused on their studies. The PrincipalLizzie Muthoni Wanyoike was represented by the General Manager Ikenye Ben who also emphasized the need to develop excellent interpersonal relationship skills since the media fraternity is all about teamwork. Also in attendance was Chief Head of Academic Affairs Jeremiah MuneneRogers Meroque , Abuko Stephen Ocholi and other lecturers.

ELIMISHA Mwenzako Charity Walk

‪#‎ElimishamwenzakoNIBS College students drawn from all its four campuses embarked on a Charity walk recently to raise funds to finance the Elimisha Mwenzako initiative. This initiative was conceived by the Principal and CEO of NIBS College Lizzie Muthoni Wanyoike and is run by the student body. The objective of the initiative is to end college drop out rate due to lack of fees. The 19 km walk started from NIBS College Ruiru campus and was led by the College General Manager Ikenye Ben, and snaked its way to the eastern by-pass junction to Ruiru town and back to the College.Thanks to everyone who participatedFamily Bank LtdEquity Bank Kenya

School of Business Studies host Mr.Mwenda Thibiri

NIBS' School of Business Studies today played host to one of the Directors of the Higher Educations Loans Board, Mr.Mwenda Thibiri. The long serving civil servant who has also been a Commissioner to the Electoral Commission of Kenya delivered his key note Lecture on 'Business Feasibility Study'.The organizers of the much anticipated lecture had the objective of encouraging the students to develop a Financial Discipline as well as have an entrepreneurial mind set. The students were encouraged to approach their studies especially on entrepreneurship and Business Plans, from an informed point of view. Others in attendance were the General Manager NIBS College,Ikenye Ben, the Head of Academic Affairs Mr. Munene and his deputy Mr. Mworia as well as other lecturers from the School of Business Studies.
